Diana Ormston - Brisbane Based Artist, Colour & Design Consultant
| I am a self-taught artist, who has continued to experiment with different techniques, mediums and compositions since learning the basics in high school. Having a natural ability and love for art has helped me achieve very high standards and much success. In 1997 I completed a diploma of Business, majoring in PA skills and Advanced Computer Applications. Graduating with honors, I went on to work in HR, IT, Recruitment, Marketing and PA roles. I have always been an artist at heart, and in 2002 when I become a full-time mother I began painting again. In 2004 I launched my own label, and now business - DJO Designs. I work via commission based jobs. Complete sets of work or one-off pieces, for both residential and corporate. I rely on repeat business and word of mouth from my extensive and growing list of very satisfied customers Australia-wide. My inspiration comes from everyday life - a petal, a sunset, fabric, etc. Fleeting images that pass by my eyes each day, later become my works of art. I love flowers, the beach, the water and the sun so many of my works revolve around that. I paint for relaxation and creative satisfaction. I am continually challenging myself by further learning new techniques and disciplines. I have completed my qualifications in Interior Decorating and Design via the Beamont School of Interior Decorating & Design. Uniquely - I also offer an in-home consultation service (art to brief) whereby I will come to your home and design an original piece to suit your home and decor, achieving the 'look' setting the mood and character you want for your room/home. As you can see from the works on this site, I have a very broad artistic range and can paint what ever you like in my own modern original style.
